Villante founded YapStone in 1999 with the not-so-simple goal of converting large bills commonly paid by paper check into online electronic payments – a progressive idea for the time. Today, his company processes over $18 billion a year in online payment volume and is most publicized as the payment partner for HomeAway (acquired by Expedia).
Prior to founding YapStone, Villante was a Partner at The Seidler Company, a private equity firm, and an investment banker with S.G. Warburg (now UBS) and William E. Simon &Sons. He is currently a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (Santa Monica Bay) and has served on the Boards of local schools and charitable organizations.
A graduate of Princeton University, Villante is a keynote speaker and recognized payments expert.
